KD sweepstakes are over; plus other NBA free agent signings, trades too

Five days ago, Kevin Durant announced his decision to leave Oklahoma City. He signed with the Golden State Warriors for a 2 year deal, worth $54.3 million. But, his contract is not the richest one in these crazy NBA free agent signings. Mike Conley Jr. signed a 5 year deal, worth $153 million to stay with the Memphis Grizzlies. This contract is the largest one in NBA history. Many people faulted KD for signing with Golden State, as he joined the team that beat OK City in the 2016 NBA western conference finals. He broke up the collaborative duo of Westbrook and Durant, two of OK City's finest. In other NBA trades and signings, Derrick Rose is going to play for NY Knicks next year; along with his former Chicago teammate, Joakim Noah. Jeremy Lin signed with the Brooklyn Nets. Then, there's the huge news that Dwyane Wade signed with the Chicago Bulls for a two year deal. Finally, Pau Gasol is signing with the San Antonio Spurs for a two year deal. It makes San Antonio stronger, so they can compete with Golden State. Speaking of the Warriors, they lost Leandro Barbosa and other key players. Here's the list of former Warriors: Festus Ezeli, Brandon Rush, Leandro Barbosa, Andrew Bogut, Harrison Barnes, and Marreese Speights. In addition to Kevin Durant signing with Golden State Warriors, Zaza Pachulia and David West signed with the Warriors in the past few days. There are a lot of deals, which were not mentioned in this blog post. The NBA 2016-2017 season is only 105 days aways. Hope the Cleveland Cavaliers do not repeat as NBA champions. The warriors might be the favorite, according to the Las Vegas bettors. Hope you like the picture above of Luol Deng, the former Miami Heat player. He is leaving Miami for the LA Lakers, in a four year deal. Lakers signed Timofey Mozgov, and they received Jose Calderon from the Chicago Bulls. Hope the Lakers can improve their winning percentage next year, with the new additions.
