Macron and Le Pen do rematch of the 2017 French presidential runoff

Within the past forty eight hours, Emmanuel Macron has won France's presidential election. He did fend off a historic challenge from far-right candidate Marine Le Pen. This runoff election on Sunday was a rematch of the 2017 French presidential runoff. Macron took 58.5% of Sunday's vote, while Le Pen got 41% of the remaining vote. This result made him the first French leader to be reelected in 20 years. Macron's second term in office will involve his pro-business agenda. Second, Macron's next term would be a committment to address all of France's current problems. Le Pen delivered a concession speech within a half hour of the first projection. She was speaking to her backers gathered at a pavilion in western Paris' Bois de Boulogne. Macron had to convince voters despite a mixed record on domestic issues. This handling of problems includes the yellow vest protests and the Covid-19 pandemic. Macron's win is a relief for the West. Third, Le Pen is a supporter of former president Donald Trump. She is a supporter of Vladimir Putin. Le Pen's party is National Rally, but she failed in rallying the French people to victory. Her party took out a loan from a Russian-Czech bank several years ago, that it is still repaying. Since Russia invaded Ukraine about 62 days ago, Le Pen has stopped supporting Putin. Le Pen is a lawyer and politician, and she was the far right contender. Fourth, there was group of people that compromised about a 28 percent that did not vote. This number is three percent more than the number in 2017. Macron represents La République En Marche! political party. This party is a liberal political group, which is only six years old. Macron will turn 45 years young in December 2022, and he is one of the founders of La Republique En Marche. At the age of 39, Macron became the youngest president in French history. In this penultimate paragraph, Macron has overseen reforms to labor laws. He has lobbied for reforms in taxation and pensions. He has pursued a renewable energy transition. In foreign policy, he called for reforms to the European Union. France signed bilateral treaties with Italy and Germany, during Macron's short time in power. Macron is an agnostic, which is a suprising revelation. In closing, Macron will have to unite the French people in his second term. See the picture above for a pensive Macron. Macron is a former investment banker who had served as economy minister, under Socialist president François Hollande. Good luck to Macron and the French people.

Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani are two of India's richest billionaires on the recent Forbes list

Recently, Forbes magazine released their annual global list of billionaires. Mukesh Ambani is ranked tenth on the list, with a net worth of $100 billion. Mukesh is the only Indian billionaire to make the top ten list. Mukesh is the managing director, and the largest shareholder of Reliance Industries Limited. Reliance is India's most valuable company by market value. Mukesh made the list for 2022, which includes nine other billionaires from India. Next, Gautam Adani is the second richest Indian billionaire with a net worth of $90 billion. Adani Green Energy Limited is owned by the Adani Group. He is an infrastructure tycoon, as he is the chairman of the conglomerate Adani Group. While Ambani lives in Antilia in Mumbai, Adani is from Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad is the most populous city in Gujarat. As of April 2022, Adani has a net worth of $116.4 billion. In addition, this new number is making him the 6th richest person in the world. One of Adani's goals is for him to invest $70 billion to become the world’s biggest renewable energy producer by 2030. On a personal note, Adani did not graduate from college as he dropped out of Gujarat University. Adani entered the power generation business in 2006. Adani acquired a 74% stake of the Mumbai International Airport in September 2020. Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi is India's largest airport, while Mumbai International Airport is India's second largest airport. Also, Adani set up his first jetty in 1995. The jetty operations were transferred to Adani Ports and SEZ. Today, the company is the largest private multi-port operator. Mundra Port is the largest private sector port in India. Mundra Port is located in Mundra, Gujarat. Mundra Port handled 144.4 million tonnes of cargo, in fiscar year 2020-21. Mundra Port is the largest container port in India. In this fifth paragraph, Adani's charitable work will be discussed. He is the President of the Adani Foundation. The Adani Foundation is considered to be one of the largest non-profit organizations in India. It is one of the major corporate-funded foundations operating in India. Gautam and his wife, Priti; are the main founders of the Adani Foundation. The foundation has major focuses on Education, Healthcare, Community Infrastructure, and Sustainable Livelihood. In closing, Ambani and Adani could have an intense rivalry in the coming years. Mukesh Ambani built an empire in telecom and retail. Adani built an empire in transport and energy distribution. India's renewable energy sector is the industry, in which these two billionaires will clash. The world is waiting to see how this one plays out. Good day and Good night from the Indian subcontinent.
