Do you Snapchat? Snapchatting is "in" thing to do

Today, consumers will take a picture and chat about it; with friends. That's what happened two weeks ago, when Primo showed me the Snapchat app. Primo had snapchat on his Iphone 5s, so he took a picture of me. Then, the picture was sent to the digital world for people to give their comments; or chat about it. Primo told me that the picture (file) does not exist on his smartphone, as the snapchat app. has sent it already. Fast forward to May 28, Snapchat is a two hundred plus employee company. Evan Spiegel, Snapchat CEO; mentioned that the tech. startup will do an IPO in the next 18 months. The company is moving into new office space, in Venice, CA. Venice is in the "silicon beach" area, as the tech. environs in western Los Angeles county go by this moniker. In addition, the LA county and Orange County areas house many tech. companies; so the two counties go by the "digital coast" nickname. Back to Snapchat, the company was courted by Facebook and Google in 2013. Yet, Snapchat declined the acquisition offers. The social media company has a market cap. of $3 billion. Yet, is the company profitable? This question has to be the main one, for shareholders and investors to ponder. The snapchat app. was the fastest growing social app according to GWI (global web index). The best demographics for snapchat users is the 13-25 age group, as teens use the app. frequently. In closing, Snapchatting appears to be the "in" thing to do. R$G will start calling you as "snapchatter"; if you snapchat more than once. Snapchat beat Facebook Messenger, Pinterest, and Instagram in the Global web index study. Hope Snapchat stays around for the next decade, and the company goes public. Kudos to Evan Spiegel, Snapchat co-founder; and his entourage for creating a covert social media application.
